Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 18th, 2019 – Clary Sage College took female students to Dress for Success Tulsa on April 2nd, 4th, and 8th to be outfitted with professional attire ahead of the college’s career fair on April 9th. Approximately 40 Clary Sage College students received free professional attire over these three days. Dress for Success Tulsa volunteers helped students pick out an entire ensemble including clothes, shoes, and accessories.
“Our students were overcome with gratitude for the volunteers of Dress for Success Tulsa! They were so helpful and really listened to the individual styles of each student. This gave our students the confidence to excel at their career fair and feel confident in front of potential employers,” said Pam Martin, Campus Director of Clary Sage College.
Dress for Success Tulsa is an affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide, an international non-profit organization that embodies over 153 affiliates located in 30 countries and has assisted nearly 1 million women. It is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the developmental tools to help women thrive in work and life. The organization has suited over 213 women in the year 2019 alone and 15,000 women in and around the Tulsa Community since it began in 2001.
“Our organization is all about women EMPOWERING women! When you look great in an outfit you feel great and have more confidence. We want these students to look and feel their very best as they search for their first job out of college,” said Dress for Success Tulsa Executive Director, Katherine Skorvaga.
Community HigherEd and Dress for Success Tulsa’s partnership has grown over the years. Students utilize Dress for Success Tulsa’s services while Clary Sage College donates free services to all clients and provides makeovers for participants of the Beyond the Suit empowerment camp.
