The Trump administration has tapped Reed D. Rubinstein as the Education Department’s acting general counsel, the department confirmed. Rubinstein, a Justice Department official, fills the vacancy left by Carlos Muñiz, who left in January when he was appointed to the Florida Supreme Court.
— Rubinstein until recently was deputy associate attorney general. He has previously served as senior counsel at the Chamber of Commerce, where he lobbied Congress and federal agencies on a wide range of regulatory and legislative issues.
