MIAT College of Technology Promotes Titus Hubbard to Director of Training for MIAT College of Technology Houston Campus

HOUSTON, Texas, (Dec. 21, 2018) – Titus Hubbard has been promoted to the new position of Director of Training at the Houston campus of MIAT College of Technology, effective immediately.

Titus HubbardHubbard joined MIAT in 2015 as an Aviation Maintenance Instructor, responsible for lecturing and demonstrating proper aviation maintenance practices in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanics. Prior to this promotion, Hubbard held the position of Assistant Director of Training since 2017. In this role, he was instrumental in creating scheduling efficiencies while also addressing MIAT’s rapid growth.

As MIAT continues to expand our programs and student enrollment continues to increase, Titus will play a key role in working with other members of our faculty and staff to help our students achieve their educational and career goals. He is well-respected and much appreciated for working with graduates across all of our programs to prepare their resumes and enhance their interview skills, which positions them well for gainful employment,” said John Willis, MIAT College of Technology Houston president.

As a United States Army veteran who worked on Sikorsky Blackhawk helicopters, Hubbard is especially accessible to and supportive of military veterans who come to MIAT to further develop skills that they acquired during their military service and to build relationships with future employers.

Hubbard previously worked in the oilfield services industry before returning to the aeronautical industry. He earned an Associate in Science in Aeronautics degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2015. Hubbard holds a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant certificate. He is simultaneously pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics degree and a Master of Science in Aeronautics degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Hubbard expects to graduate in May 2019. He and his family reside in Houston.

In addition to Aviation Maintenance Technology, MIAT offers programs full-time in Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR), Energy, and Wind Power. The school’s curriculum for the Aviation Maintenance Technology Associate in Applied Science degree and Airframe and Powerplant Technician certificate is approved by the FAA under CFR Part 147. MIAT is now also offering programs in Welding at its Houston campus and for Electro-Mechanical Technology at its Canton campus.
