Career Education Schools Celebrate Major Milestones
This year, four career education institutions are celebrating milestone anniversaries and looking back at their growth of offerings, campuses and students since their inception. Combined, these schools have been serving their local communities and students for nearly 200 years.
Women Making Waves in Higher Education

In a time when female learners dominate the enrollment numbers within postsecondary education, it is inspiring to see how leadership roles within CECU member schools and allied companies have grown to mimic that trend. A great example is the 2022 CECU Board of Directors that includes 10 women, making it the first time in the association’s history that women fill the majority of the seats.

Mike Rowe on His Love for the Skilled Trades

With over 750 career education professionals in attendance at the 2022 Career Education Convention, it was a great opportunity for the sector to come together. It is no surprise that Mike Rowe’s keynote session was one of the most popular events. He captivated the audience with stories about starting his career as an opera singer, becoming the “dirtiest man alive,” and his advocacy for the skilled trades.
Midterm Madness – Key Races to Watch

The midterm elections are happening on November 8, 2022, and there’s a lot riding on the outcome. This year will provide not only a verdict on Joe Biden’s first two years as president, but it could also help determine if Donald Trump has a comeback in 2024. A few key races could decide the results in both the U.S. House and Senate.
