Clay, N.Y. — Bryant & Stratton College will offer its first bachelor of science degree in nursing at its new location in Clay.

The program, which launches in January 2021, will enable students to earn their four-year degree and begin their careers in only 32 months, the college said Wednesday.

It is the first time that Bryant & Stratton will offer a nursing degree program in New York, though it does offer nursing programs in other states. It also offers other health degrees locally, including medical assisting, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant, health services administration, and medical reimbursement and coding.

Dr. Rhonda Reader, former dean of Pomeroy College of Nursing, has been appointed program director of the new program.

“At a pivotal time for world health, this innovative new program will produce career-ready nurses prepared for a seamless transition to critically important health care roles following graduation,” said Reader.
