East Valley Campus Now Offers Blended Program Featuring Online and Ground Classes
MESA, Ariz. (Nov. 11, 2020) – Pima Medical Institute has officially launched a medical billing and coding certificate program at its East Valley campus. This blended program is enrolling now and features both online and ground classes.
Medical billing and coding professionals are the link between healthcare providers, patients and the insurance companies. They are responsible for providing complete and accurate information and records for the patients and the insurance companies. Medical and insurance offices depend heavily on Medical Coding Specialists.
The Bureau of Labor statistics projects more than 29,000 new jobs for those in the medical records field by 2029, making it a great time to start on a rewarding career path. This certificate program is launching first as an evening class, creating a great opportunity for students who might be looking to change careers, or those who cannot take days off work to attend classes.
“We are excited to be adding this blended program as another healthcare career option for our students,” said Mark Judy, East Valley Campus Director. “Many students who might be interested in this program have lives that don’t necessarily accommodate for the typical college schedule. Add to that, the ever-changing world we currently live in and this is a great addition to our already available programs.”
Graduates of this program receive a certificate. For those interested in pursuing additional education, graduates can use these classes to apply for credit toward Pima Medical Institute’s online Health Care Administration Associate of Applied Science Degree Program.
Additional Pima Medical programs offered at the East Valley campus include; a Veterinary Technician associate degree programs as well as Health Care Administration, Medical Assistant, Nurse Assistant/Nurse Aide, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and Veterinary Assistant certificate programs.
