Northwestern College hosts Food Drive through Dec 2

[Bridgeview, IL] Northwestern College is once again hosting a food drive for the holidays in connection with the Bridgeview Chamber of Commerce & Industry. This is the Chamber’s 31st year of sponsoring this project. All donations will go to local food pantries in order to assist members of the Bridgeview area community in need.

Food Drive posterStudents, faculty and staff are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food donations and household paper products. A collection box will be located in the front lobby of the College’s Bridgeview Campus. Members of the community that are interested in participating can drop off their donations with security at the front door, as the college is currently not open to the public. Please wear a mask. Donations can be made from now through December 2.

While there is always a great need for food during the holiday season, with COVID-19 that need is even greater.

“The holidays are an opportunity for all of us to think about the basic needs of others that aren’t being met, and then do what we can to help,” noted Northwestern College President Lawrence Schumacher. “Northwestern College students and staff have a solid history of stepping up to help those in need. All donations – large and small – are greatly appreciated.”
