DeVos could roll out her new Title IX rule: Educators and advocates have been on the edge of their seats waiting to see when DeVos will issue her final Title IX rule that will change the way schools handle reports of sexual assault and harassment. OMB has officially finished its review of the rule, which means DeVos is cleared to issue it. So far there’s no release date, but a report from the Office for Civil Rights said it expects the rule to be issued in fiscal 2020, which ends on Sept. 30.
— 2. Harvard, Yale to respond to Education Department’s probe of their foreign gifts reporting: Harvard and Yale universities are expected to respond to the department’s inquiry into their alleged failure to report hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign gifts and contracts.
