SALT LAKE CITY— Independence University continues to show its commitment to the Salt Lake City community by donating 30 tablets to the Ronald McDonald House.

Independence University donating tabletsThe Intermountain Area chapter of the organization provides a place for families of sick and injured children to stay while their loved ones receive care in Salt Lake City. The donated tablets will be used by those who stay at the Ronald McDonald House, as well as in the Family Rooms at Primary Children’s Hospital.

“Families who travel to Salt Lake City to receive medical care for their children often leave in a hurry without basic and comfort items,” says Karen Skidmore, Director of Operations for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area. “In many cases this includes things like tablets. In the past when we’ve been able to offer iPads and other tablets for the families to borrow, it has been a lifesaver for moms and dads who have been removed from their primary support systems, need a way to stay up to date… and to use as a family and with their child.”Independence University donating tablets
