Tulsa, Oklahoma – Oklahoma Technical College (OTC) is hosting Swings Fore Scholarships, a fundraising event on Friday, May 3, 2019. Swings Fore Scholarships is a golf tournament fundraiser. The event will be held at Bailey Ranch Golf Club with registration beginning at 7:00 am and a shotgun start at 8:00 am. Teams of four can enter the competition for $400. All funds raised will go towards scholarships and services for Community HigherEd students.
“I am truly excited to host our third annual golf tournament! Not only is it a great day of golf with contests and prizes, but all proceeds go to benefit our students. This event is an awesome way for our school to connect with our employers and industry partners and it gives them an opportunity to give back to their community. Anyone is welcome to sponsor or purchase a team and we are looking forward to having a lot of fun!” said Jeremy Cooper, Oklahoma Technical College Campus Director.
Companies and individuals will have many options to be involved through teams and sponsorships. Lunch will be provided. Players will have the opportunity to compete in contests and buy raffle tickets to win prizes. OTC students will create a one of a kind custom grill to be donated for a raffle.
“With over 18 corporate and individual sponsorships, 22 teams of 88 golfers, and generous support from our employees and volunteers, we were able to raise over $19,500.00 last year. The Swings Fore Scholarships tournament is a great testament to our cause and we are hoping to raise even more this year!” said Cooper.
