Medical Assistant students from Community Care College[Tulsa, Oklahoma] – Medical Assistant students from Community Care College visited the Clarehouse on November 6th, 2018. The students gifted the residents with Thanksgiving crafts, goodie bags, turkey decorations, and candy. Students also bought items on the Clarehouse wish list including Christmas fuzzy socks, Clorox wipes, dish soap, breakfast bars, and soup. Clarehouse is a nonprofit community home that offers 24-hour care for terminally ill individuals. The end goal of this nonprofit is to assist terminally ill people in achieving a peaceful death while helping families begin healthy grief journeys.

“We are currently studying geriatric care and went on a field trip to Clarehouse, an end-of-life facility. While visiting, I heard feedback from students about how peaceful and personal the facility was. Students learned that the taboo scare of death can be a positive and beautiful experience,” said Kim Focht, a Medical Instructor at Community Care College.
