Mayor G. T. Bynum Issues Proclamation Certificate For Medical Assistants Recognition Week to Community Care College
[Tulsa, Oklahoma, October 15, 2018] – Community Care College will be celebrating their Medical Assistant students during Medical Assistants Recognition Week from October 15th to October 19th. Julie Benson, Medical Assistant Instructor at Community Care College, wrote to Mayor G.T. Bynum’s office and received a proclamation certificate for the recognition of Medical Assistants Recognition Week. Medical assistants across the country will be recognized throughout this week.
“The Medical Assistant students at Community Care College are working hard to perfect their skills in order to make a positive impact on the health of the patients they serve. We are honored to be able to celebrate this important milestone with our students,” commented Medical Assistant Department Head and Instructor at Community Care College, Julie Benson.
American Association of Medical Assistants’ Definition: Medical Assistant
Medical assistants work alongside physicians, mainly in outpatient or ambulatory care facilities, such as medical offices and clinics. Medical assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties.
Community Care College will be celebrating Medical Assistants Recognition Week with several events and activities. On October 17th at 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm, sessions are scheduled with Melana Olguin and Jane Hahn, representatives of St. John’s Medical Clinic. Students will also be creating Thanksgiving crafts that will be shared with patients at Clare House and St. Francis Children’s Hospital.
