New Personal Style Career Diploma program is flexible, affordable way to gain fundamentals of styling and small business operations.
The Personal Style Career Diploma course opened for enrollment today at Ashworth College. The new online course joins 10 other career training programs in the school’s creative services catalog.
Aspiring personal stylists, image consultants, and personal shoppers need basic knowledge of both fashion and business in order to succeed. The Personal Style Career Diploma curriculum prepares students in both areas with creative lessons on fashion history, design, tailoring, and trends, plus business lessons on client relationships, evaluating wardrobes, personal shopping, marketing, and business management. At program completion, graduates will know how to dress all ages, body types, and genders; understand the applications of shapeware, accessories, and cosmetics; and know how to work within a budget and build a business.
“Personal stylists who are creatively talented and knowledgeable about business will start out with the best opportunities,” said Ashworth College Chief Academic Officer Christine Jax. “This new program provides the footing we believe can lead our graduates toward successful careers in fashion, retail, and beyond.”
Career Diploma programs at Ashworth College are designed to give graduates the knowledge required to start small businesses or find entry-level employment. There are no pre-requisites for enrollment though a high school diploma or equivalent is recommended. Students can complete a Career Diploma program in as few as four months.
