Pima Medical Institute welcomed associate degree alumni from its Mesa campus Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy programs at an appreciation event earlier this week.

More than a hundred recent grads, their friends and family, faculty members and staff took time to network and talk about their experiences.

PimaRecent Radiography graduate Robert “Jammar” Williams shared his experience at Pima Medical Institute. While it wasn’t an easy process and there were many sacrifices for him and his family, he says it’s all worth it.

“My classmates and I helped each other through and became like a family. I currently work for two great companies – St. Joseph’s Hospital and Honor Health. They are training me in interventional radiology, not typically an honor given to new graduates. I love my job and I am thankful for my education at PMI. It’s been worth all the hard work and sacrifice.”

President and CEO Fred Freedman was on hand as well, making sure to let students and their families know that the success of Pima Medical Institute is all about the success of its students.

“Our success is measured by your success,” Freedman said. “We appreciate and recognize the struggles our students might face, and celebrate each accomplishment, especially graduation. It’s more than the degree, we are proud that each of you leaves here prepared for a rewarding career.”

Take Williams, for example. He had a job offer even before he finished his program. It’s a testament to Pima Medical and the faculty and staff.
