I was in the navy from 2013-2018. When I was stationed overseas I started doing makeup for navy ball’s & high school events! Everyone told me I was good at makeup so I started looking into the beauty field. I knew I wanted to attend Bellus because I was going to eventually get stationed in San Diego and Bellus Academy had the best reviews! I’m so glad I did because I met a lot of great people and educators along the way!
I attended Bellus Academy from May 2018 to November 2019! I am dual licensed barber Cosmo however I specialize in waxing and hair extensions now! I own my own salon in Hanford, CA!
So far, my favorite part of being in the beauty industry has been the process of opening up my salon during a pandemic! It’s been really awesome to see how many people support female owned businesses, not to mention veteran owned and operated! After I graduated I really wanted to focus on opening up my own salon and eventually transitioning into opening multiple locations! So far we’ve been open since April 3rd of 2021 and despite the challenges the world has been facing, we’ve seen nothing but support from our clients and community!
