Based on Employee Engagement Surveys, this Award Showcases Colorado’s Best Businesses
Pima Medical Institute’s Denver campus was recently awarded the Top Workplaces 2021 honor by The Denver Post. An award based entirely on employee input, this recognition highlights the importance of companies that move beyond the basics of things like great benefits and vacation time and focus on employees’ overall well-being.
Pima Medical Institute has been serving the Denver community since 1988. Decades of student success and employee satisfaction is due in large part to faculty, staff and the college’s overall approach of putting “people first.” Everyone on campus is truly dedicated to the success of the students and each other.
“It sounds cliché, but we really do see ourselves as a family here,” said Ryan Minic, Pima Medical Institute’s Denver Campus Director. “The fact that this award is a direct result of surveys completed by our faculty and staff is truly rewarding. Years of dedication to our students and each other is a big reason we have been able to weather this pandemic and come out strong. I couldn’t be prouder.”
Pima Medical Institute’s Denver campus is currently enrolling students for all programs, and boasts the only laser-eye surgery- ophthalmic medical technician associate degree program in Colorado and surrounding states. The campus offers an additional five associate degree programs as well as seven certificate programs. Students are also currently transitioning safely back to campus for lab-skill competencies, in accordance with all state and county health guidelines in relation to COVID-19.
Pima Medical Institute, founded in Tucson, Arizona in 1972, is an employee-owned, private accredited school, focused on educating students and preparing them to become career ready. Programs are focused exclusively on healthcare professions including medical, dental, veterinary and nursing fields.
