In a Feb. 25, 2021 Electronic Announcement and March 9, 2021 Electronic Announcement, we provided information about the FSA Partner Connect website (fsapartners.ed.gov) launch planned for March 28, 2021. In this announcement, we inform the community about the planned content freeze for the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website prior to launch.

IFAP Website Availability and Content Freeze

With the launch of FSA Partner Connect, the IFAP website will be retired and existing content will be moved to the Knowledge Center section of the new site. In preparation for the transition, we will not post new information to the IFAP website after 6 p.m. Eastern time (ET) on Friday, March 19, 2021, through Sunday, March 28, 2021. In addition, the IFAP Feedback functionality will no longer be available beginning on March 19, 2021. The IFAP website will be available throughout the entire freeze period; there will just be no new content.

Beginning on Monday, March 29, 2021, all users attempting to access the IFAP website home page will be redirected to Knowledge Center Home (fsapartners.ed.gov/knowledge-center). For details about other URLs, email subscriptions, and general transition information, refer to the March 9, 2021, announcement.

Note: Many IFAP users access other FSA systems by clicking on links to those systems available on the IFAP website. Users will find these same FSA system links on the FSA Partner Connect website; refer to the FSA Partner Connect navigation training materials to see where the FSA system links will be located.

Subscription Email Begin and End Dates

Users subscribed to receive IFAP email updates will receive their final IFAP email on Friday, March 19, 2021, and/or Saturday, March 20, 2021. Knowledge Center daily subscription emails will begin the week of Monday, March 29, 2021; the first weekly subscription emails will be sent on Saturday, April 3, 2021, and Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Training and Additional Information

As a reminder, a comprehensive set of training resources is available on the Federal Student Aid E-Training website for users to learn more about FSA Partner Connect. With training opportunities that include webinars, tutorials, and quick reference job aids, users of FSA Partner Connect will be equipped with multiple tools and resources for success. Refer to the March 11, 2021 Training Announcement for details about how to access the training resources, including how to create a username and password for Federal Student Aid E-Training if you do not already have one. After logging in, select “Training Courses” from the main menu bar, then “FSA Partner Connect” from the drop-down menu.

The community can also keep up with the latest information on the FSA Partner Connect Information page.

We look forward to working with you as we continue our preparations to launch FSA Partner Connect.
