FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. – Southeastern College has officially been named one of the 2020 Top Workplaces by the South Florida Sun Sentinel newspaper. Awarded yearly, the Top Workplaces award is a major accomplishment for organizations as it serves to recognize South Florida’s top employers and company cultures based on employee reviews.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes from Southeastern’s dedicated faculty and staff,” said Robert Keiser, Executive Director of Southeastern College. “Their commitment to Southeastern College’s student body is what makes us different from other educational organizations in South Florida.”
Winners were selected based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey. The 24-question anonymous survey measured 15 facets of workplace culture that are critical to the success of organizations. Companies throughout South Florida chose to participate in the survey and employee responses were completely voluntary. The surveys measured such qualities as company leadership, values, working environment, and career growth.
“This acknowledgement says a lot about Southeastern College’s focus on positive student outcomes,” added Keiser. “Every member of the Southeastern team prides themselves on providing our students with an exceptional experience.”
Southeastern College has two campus locations in South Florida in Miami Lakes and West Palm Beach. The school offers 18 academic majors with a focus on allied health degrees such as nursing, medical assisting, and pharmacy technology.
More than 130 companies took part in the survey in 2020 with 90 companies earning the designation as one of the 2020 Top Workplaces. Organizations were divided into three categories based on number of employees. Southeastern College was categorized as a small company having less than 125 employees in South Florida.
While the survey results were released to winners in April 2020, winners of the award were not officially recognized until September 17, 2020 due to delays that occurred as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
