FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. – Southeastern College has introduced a pair of new programs at its Florida campuses in Miami Lakes and West Palm Beach. Southeastern was recently approved to begin enrolling for its Diploma in Business Administration and the more compromise A.S. in Business Administration.
“Southeastern College is pleased to announce its new academic programs in business administration.” said Robert Keiser, Executive Director of Southeastern Institute. “We believe these new academic programs offer a unique opportunity to train future employees in a job field that is vital to Florida’s growing economy.”
Southeastern’s new A.S. in Business Administration program focuses on developing a basic understanding of business skills needed for entry-level business professionals. The program introduces students to the functional areas of business, including ethical business practices, technology, and communication skills needed in today’s business environment. Students will have an option to choose one of two areas of concentration,
accounting or management and operations.
Jobs in the diverse field of business have been on the rise recently. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, business and financial occupations are expected to grow by 7 percent from 2016 through 2026 led by a growing economy and a complex tax and regulatory environment. Jobs in the management analysis and accounting subcategories are expected to grow by 14 percent and 6 percent, respectively, through 2028.
“With its unique geographic location and diverse culture, Florida continues to emerge as an ideal location for business and finance operations,” said Keiser. “These programs will help meet the demand for trained professionals by providing students an applied curriculum which can serve as a launching pad to careers that can contribute to Florida’s $1 trillion economy.”
Both the Diploma in Business Administration and the A.S. in Business Administration will begin enrolling immediately at Southeastern College Miami Lakes and West Palm Beach.
