Lansing, Mich. (January 8, 2019) – David Heckeler, MBA, PMP has been appointed Chief Academic Officer for Career Quest Learning Centers (CQLC). In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that CQLC’s curriculum prepares graduates for successful employment in current and emerging fields, while also ensuring the curriculum is offered by qualified faculty.
Heckeler retired as the president of Morrison University in 2013 and immediately began working as an independent management consultant. He has also led and participated in numerous advisory committees and focus groups in the education industry.
“Education has always been my passion,” Heckeler said. “Throughout the years as an education industry executive, I have guided educational institutions to deliver the best possible educational experience and value to its students and I’m looking forward to doing the same with the students at Career Quest.”
Heckeler is a well-respected and well-known leader in the post-secondary career education industry and the automotive training and aftermarket supply industry, having been a senior-level executive in both, an equity partner in the primary education publishing industry, and a management consultant specializing in strategic, operational, and financial organizational planning and implementation.
He earned his MBA in Business Management and his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Economics from Russell Sage College in Albany, New York. He also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
