Brightwood College, a for-profit institution in Corpus Christi, was closed this morning, leaving students in with unanswered questions.
Students and teachers at Brightwood, one of dozens operated by Education Corporation of America, were told as they came to the campus near Greenwood Road the school is shutting down. One student said to the Caller-Times the closures were the result of “financial issues.”
In February 2015, Education Corporation of America bought all 38 campuses operated by Kaplan College, another for-profit outfit that owned Brightwood.
