The legal troubles facing Berkeley College are mounting.
Three former staffers at Berkeley College’s White Plains campus are suing the for-profit school in federal court, claiming they faced “a gender-related hostile work environment” and wrongful termination.
The suit was filed Thursday in federal court in White Plains by Jimarzarette Estevez, Deanna Mancini and Diane Mekuli, former admissions counselors at the school until they were fired last year. This came about three months after the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission provided “right to sue” letters after the plaintiffs filed complaints to the agency in February.
The lawsuit names the college and Jose Martinez, the chief operating officer at the White Plains campus, as defendants.
