During a session at the 2018 FSA Training Conference in Atlanta, ED officials provided more information about the new gainful employment disclosure template for 2019. ED’s Cynthia Hammond said the template would be simpler for institutions to fill out and simpler for students to understand, and that the official announcement would come through an electronic announcement via IFAP. The template is currently open for public comment. Items on the template include: institutional program name, normal time to complete (as published in institutional catalog), projected costs for program if completed within normal time (including tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment), state licensure information, a link to the College Scorecard, and warning language, if applicable. Institutions must post the information on program web pages in “a clearly-labeled and conspicuous” location.
