His message to graduates is simple, fixing life’s troubles provides the greatest lessons – The Virginian-Pilot
Zechariah Allison sees his life as an epic journey. There are low points – like living out of his car, and high points – like being selected to give the commencement speech at his college graduation.
Allison will speak in front of 600 graduates and their families at the ECPI University ceremony Saturday, May 19, at Chrysler Hall.
In his remarks, he will draw parallels between his life and that of Frodo Baggins, a character from the fantasy novel “The Lord of the Rings.”
“Like Frodo, I’m on my own epic journey, and my stop at ECPI was to acquire knowledge, make friendships and build relationships,” said Allison, whose degree is in Cyber and Network Security.
