An embattled for-profit community college, which closed amid a legal battle surrounding its accreditation, is now suing its accreditor and a state official who helped oversee the school’s demise.
West Virginia Business College, which shut its doors last summer after a state agency withdrew its permit to operate in the state, filed the complaint Monday in federal court in the Northern District.
“I do not comment on pending litigation,” said Ron Kasserman, an attorney representing the school and its owner, John Tarr IV.
