RN to BSN, CBE powered by SIMPath™ program incorporates digital simulation to enhance learning experience from the comfort of the student’s home.

American Sentinel University, an accredited healthcare-focused online university, announces a new online option for earning a BSN: RN to BSN, CBE powered by SIMPath™. SIMPath™ incorporates a robust digital simulation into the curriculum and allows nursing students to learn how they want and when they want.

The RN to BSN, CBE powered by SIMPath™ is CCNE-accredited and was designed for nursing students to learn at their own pace and leverage their skills and knowledge to complete as many competencies as they wish in 16-week terms. This exciting new learning format makes it possible for nurses to finish their BSN in less than a year for as little as $9,000.

Digital Simulation Enhances Learning Experience
“Each nursing student’s educational journey is all their own. The way you learn, when you study, the experience you bring, and the challenges you want to overcome are truly unique to you. SIMPath™ offers our students the flexibility to earn their BSN their way,” says Karen Whitham, Ed.D., MSN, RN, CNE, Associate Dean, Nursing and Healthcare Programs at American Sentinel University. Whitham is a certified nurse educator and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, and the National League for Nursing.

A Bachelor of Science Nursing is quickly becoming the minimum education level for many healthcare systems. American Sentinel’s RN to BSN curriculum focuses on the most relevant areas of nursing today: management, community health, strategic planning and more. These skills can be immediately applied to the students’ nursing careers.

Students accepted to the RN to BSN, CBE powered by SIMPathTM may be awarded 60 credit hours of the total 120 credit hours for their RN license and ADN or nursing diploma. Additionally, students can transfer in up to 30 credits of general education leaving ten nursing credits to earn the degree.

The addition of SIMPath™ offers students an interactive and immersive simulation. Assignments focus on observations and experiences from the digital simulation, allowing them to explore different communities from the comfort of their own home.

“Nurses are an important part of the care team, and advanced nursing education is the key to stability and mobility in the healthcare industry,” says Dr. Whitham. “There is a shortage of nurses and access to nursing education in many rural areas throughout our country. Our RN to BSN, CBE powered by SIMPath™ opens BSN degree opportunities to non-traditional students, including working parents and those with time constraints.”

Affordable, Flexible and Attainable
The RN to BSN, CBE powered by SIMPath™ is 100% online and designed for working healthcare professionals, providing them with the convenience to complete competencies around their busy schedule.
